Knit Now is all about quick, simple, stylish designs that knitters love to make. We launched in October 2011 and since then, the magazine has gone from strength to strength. Each issue is packed full of fresh ideas and inspiration, with over 30 patterns every time. Our main focus is on quick knits that use a small amount of yarn and can be made in a matter of days, but by popular demand we also now include adult garments. As well as the latest news, each issue includes interviews with popular designers, easy-to-follow tutorials from our resident knitting superstar, Debbie Tomkies, yarn reviews from real knitters, giveaways, reader offers and fabulous shopping pages. The editor of Knit Now is Kate Heppell, a keen knitter and designer. While studying for her degree, Kate founded her own label, Green Eyed Monsters, initially producing upcycled fashions and later moving into producing yarn and patterns for knitters. In 2011 she was contacted by Practical Publishing International to ask if she would be interested in working on a new knitting magazine and the rest, as they say, is history! Kate’s twin passions are for great quality yarns and for supporting young up-and-coming designers, both of which are reflected in the magazine.
